National Poetry Month

April is National Poetry Month, a time we celebrate the art of poetry as well as the many poets who continue to inspire us with their work. This year marks the 25th anniversary of this annual celebration and there are many ways you can recognize and honor the cultural influence these literature writers have. We’ve decided to round up a few of our poetry-related book options that we recommend checking out in honor of National Poetry Month!

Thoreau’s Wildflowers by Henry David Thoreau

Henry David Thoreau was perhaps one of the most influential writers, poets, and philosophers of the 19th century. Many of his essays and poems deal with the natural world and Thoreau often wrote about the beauty of nature he surrounded himself with. In this book, artist Barry Moser illustrates 200 wildflowers based on some of Thoreau’s vivid writings about flowering plants.
